# Remove Network Protocol

`DELETE` `/tenants/protocols/{id}`

Operation ID: `ProtocolController_delete`

Permanently removes a network protocol definition from the tenant. This operation will affect any resources or addresses that use this protocol.

## Path parameters

- `id` (string, uuid, required) - The unique identifier (UUID) of the protocol to delete

## Responses

- `204` - Successfully deleted the protocol
- `401` - Unauthorized - Invalid or missing authentication token
- `403` - Forbidden - Insufficient permissions to perform this operation.
- `404` - Protocol not found with the provided ID
